Out of Australia: Aborigines, the Dreamtime, and the Dawn of the Human Race By Evan Strong

Apparently well researched in terms of archaeology and Dreamtime beliefs raising interesting uestions about the history of humans Extremely shallow in addressing Gnostic texts written in isolated Middle Eastern communities long after the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans There are too many problems with this book to fit into the limited space here Suffice it to say that for humans to have originated in Australia African primates would have had to as well It would also have been helpful if placental mammals had taken hold here and for there to be evidence that humans were genetically unrelated to the great apes of Africa I appreciate what he's trying to do here legitimizing the importance of early indigenous people of Australia but this book is made up out of whole cloth If this is the kind of curriculum one can expect at the University of Sydney then I'm glad I didn't take courses there Some things in this book may make difficult things that we were never taught in school in the UK at least And then we find that the Original Australians have been around far longer than any of us have been led to believe by mainstream academicsAfter years of denial by the establishment there is now plenty of scientific evidence to confirm that Original Australians have indeed been around for so long including accurate dating of skeletal remains tools and rock art by sophisticated dating methods and by comparing Original Australian DNA with that collected from other indigenous populations around the world and also against various archaic genomes extracted from ancient skeletal remainsIs it possible that humanity evolved in Australia and migrated Out of Australia to America both North Out of Africa theory was still uite new and so was genetic analysis as was some of the sophisticated dating techniues Things have certainly moved on a bit since then particularly in the extraction Out of Africa theory doesn't look uite so convincing now and the time has surely come for us all to review ALL of the scientific evidence not just those bits that support a particular paradigm and accept that the TRUTH may prove to be a lot complex than we have previously been led to believe Out of Australia: Aborigines, the Dreamtime, and the Dawn of the Human Race Tutte le evidenze che provano che l'Homo Sapiens è originario dell'Australia Fatto che clamano gli Aborigeni dal tempo della Creazione TjukurrpaFatti fastidiozi per i non indigeni E perchè la storia è da riscrivere dell'inizio Provocative inspiring and thoroughly researched book that offers a plausible explanation of humanities origins It may well be a game changer in so much as the DNA evidence seems to be pointing in the direction of Steven and Evan Strong lapidary

Must read for every one who feel the modern way of life is hollow and they are not alone in this thought journey

In their startling new book Steven and Evan Strong challenge the out of Africa theory Based on fresh examination of both the DNA and archeological evidence they conclude that modern humans originated from Australia not AfricaThe original Australians referred to by some as Aborigineslike so many indigenous peoples are portrayed as backward and primitive Yet as the Strongs demonstrate original Australians had a rich culture which may have sown the first seeds of spirituality in the world They had the technology to make international seafaring voyages and have left traces in the Americas and possibly Japan Southern India Egypt and elsewhere They practiced brain surgery invented the first hand tools and had knowledge of penicillinThis book brings together 30 years of intensive research in consultation with elders in the original Australian community Among their conclusions are the following There is evidence that humans existed in Australia 40000 years before they existed in AustraliaThere were migrations of original Australians in large boats throughout the IndianPacific rimThree distinct kinds of Homo sapiens are found in Australia There is evidence from the Americas that debunks the out of Africa theoryThe spiritual influence of the Aborigines is reflected in the religions of the worldIn their startling new book, Steven and Evan Strong challenge the out-of-Africa theory. Based on fresh examination of both the DNA and archeological evidence, they conclude that modern humans originated from Australia, not Africa. The original Australians (referred to by some as Aborigines ), like so many indigenous peoples, are portrayed as backward and primitive. Yet, as the Strongs demonstrate, original Australians had a rich culture, which may have sown the first seeds of spirituality in the world. They had the technology to make international seafaring voyages and have left traces in the Americas and possibly Japan, Southern India, Egypt, and elsewhere. They practiced brain surgery, invented the first hand tools, and had knowledge of penicillin. This book brings together 30 years of intensive research in consultation with elders in the original Australian community. Among their conclusions are the following:

  • There is evidence that humans existed in Australia 40,000 years before they existed in Australia.
  • There were migrations of original Australians in large boats throughout the Indian/Pacific rim.
  • Three distinct kinds of Homo sapiens are found in Australia.
  • There is evidence from the Americas that debunks the out-of-Africa theory.
  • The spiritual influence of the Aborigines is reflected in the religions of the world.

The Oxford Handbook of Dietrich Bonhoeffer By Michael Mawson

This volume provides a comprehensive resource for those wishing to understand the German theologian, pastor, and resistance conspirator Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945) and his writings. During his lifetime he made important contributions to many of the major areas of theology: ecclesiology, creation, Christology, discipleship, and ethics. The Oxford Handbook of Dietrich Bonhoeffer surveys, assesses, and presents the field of research and debates of Bonhoeffer and his legacy, as well as of previous Bonhoeffer scholarship. Featuring contributions from leading Bonhoeffer scholars, historians, theologians, and ethicists, many essays draw attention to Bonhoeffer's positive contributions, while several essays also identify limits and problems with his thinking as it stands. Divided into five parts, the first section provides a detailed outline of Bonhoeffer's biography and the contexts that gave rise to his theology. The contributors explore the dynamic relationship between Bonho...

Blood on Silk (Awakened by Blood, #1) By Marie Treanor

I’ve read this book back in 2011 and re-read it quite a few times since. I loved it. Blood on Silk is not a love story. Do not expect the usual drama of a vampire complaining about his condition and trying to change it or the brainless girl/woman who thinks she’s the one who’ll save him. Nope. None of that. Saloman has spent the last three centuries with a stake in his heart, buried in a crypt beneath a chapel, after those he considered his friends had betrayed him. Now, he’s waiting for his Awakener and planning bloody revenge. Scottish academic Elizabeth Silk is writing her thesis on historical superstitions, more exactly vampires, and what better place to do it than Romania, the country where Dracula was born. She doesn’t believe in vampires but she’s intrigued when Saloman’s name keeps popping up. What began as a thesis research will forever change her life and bring her in contact with a world she had no idea it even existed. Saloman is finally free and ready to get...
